Mobile Banking

Online Banking System via Mobile Phone (Mobile Banking) allows individual customers to access their account at any place only with an access to Internet over mobile phone or other mobile equipments such as Smartphone, tablet PC, bank's kiosk.

Customer can make basic banking transactions such as checking bank account information (including balance inquiry, transaction history); money transfer from one account to another in the same bank or from one bank to another bank; bill payment; checking credit information via individual digital devices without coming to bank counter. Besides, customer can use a variety of value added services such as mobile phone top-up, online purchasing of insurance, airline and train ticket, etc.

The system supports both languages ​​(English and Khmer), appropriate to the majority of bank's customers.

Mobile Banking system is built on the mobile phone platform combined with the latest technologies. Thanks to the latest and advanced programming techniques, information is promptly and accurately processed and high security requirements are ensured.

Mobile Banking System combined usage of Private Key technology granted for a device with the authentication request based on mobile phone's IMEI to ensure the uniqueness of the device. Thanks to Secured Socket Layer Certificate (SSL Certificate), certified by leading security companies such as VeriSign, Entrust, etc. data transmission between equipment to bank is encrypted to avoid disclosure of customer's account information when data is sent from user's mobile phone or mobile equipment to System Server and vice versa.

In order to enhance the authenticity of system user, besides the requirements of system login using username and password as other systems, Mobile Baking System provides each customer with one automatic password generating equipment called OTP (One Time Password) and this password shall be sent to customer via text SMS.


Mobile Banking System includes 2 main components:

  • Mobile Banking Front-End: This system provides interface for user. This component directly interacts with customer and is built on the platform of mobile phone operating system with the latest technologies. This system is divided into 3 types of Mobile Banking Application:
    • Mobile Banking Application is directly installed on customer's mobile phone supporting Smartphone, tablet PC and the other platforms such as Java, iOS, Android, Symbian, BlackBerry, Windows Phone.
    • Mobile Banking Application is installed on the Wapsite interface for mobile phone accessed by Web Browser.
    • Mobile Banking Application is installed on public screen at bank kiosk served for a specific field (payment, supermarket, school).
  • Mobile Banking Back-End: This system provides interface for bank staff to make customer registration, administer, follow-up and operate the system. Module is built on the web platform with the latest technologies.

After registration for using service, customer shall be provided with registration information including registration code received at bank counter and activation code sent to the registered phone number via text SMS. Username and password can be re-registered at bank or through computer integrated into Internet Banking System. Password management is ensured by the system in compliance with security and confidentiality procedures in the PCI DSS standard.

It normally takes 2 months to deploy basic services on Mobile Banking System. CAMBOPAY shall cooperate with banks in service deployment and marketing as well as extension of value added services on Mobile Banking System to meet customer's requirements.
